What You Will Be Doing:
As an Overnight Cleaner at Carmen’s Event Centre, you’ll play a vital role in resetting and refreshing our event spaces so they’re spotless and welcoming for every new day of celebration. Working behind the scenes, you’ll ensure our venue maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation—helping set the stage for extraordinary guest experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing thorough cleaning of banquet halls, foyers, offices, washrooms, and employee areas during overnight shifts
Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing furniture and fixtures to maintain a pristine environment
Cleaning and disinfecting washrooms, restocking supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
Collecting and removing trash, recyclables, and waste in accordance with safety and sanitation procedures
Washing and organizing dishware and cutlery as required
Ensuring the removal and proper handling of used linens and assisting with laundry collection when needed
Using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment safely and effectively
Identifying efficient and effective cleaning methods to maintain consistency and quality
Reporting maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor in a timely manner
Taking direction from the Facilities Supervisor and supporting overnight operational needs
Demonstrating sound judgment, independence, and attention to detail in an unsupervised environment
Contributing to a respectful, team-oriented workplace focused on safety and excellence
Helping create a welcoming and polished venue for guests, clients, and team members alike
Performing additional duties as assigned to support venue readiness and cleanliness
