The Structural Engineer will support structural integrity initiatives within an industrial operating environment. This role will play a key part in identifying, assessing, and coordinating repairs for structural deficiencies while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and corporate specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop technical scopes of work and create work packages for structural deficiencies
Coordinate and support repair plans for structural issues
Conduct structural inspections, review findings, and prepare reports
Provide technical support to Trades, Supervisors, Planners, Engineers, Operations, and Projects teams on structural integrity matters
Ensure all structural designs and installations comply with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and specifications.
Maintain compliance with Corporate Structural Integrity Guidance Documents
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 3+ years of experience
Note: Engineering stamping is not required for this role
Strong commitment to safety and safety leadership
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience using Computer-Aided Structural Analysis & Design software (Staad Pro, SAP2000, or similar)
Experience with 3D modeling and design software is considered an asset
Previous experience in a potash mine, oil & gas, or industrial environment is considered an asset
Work Schedule:
9/80 Schedule
One week: Monday – Thursday (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Following week: Monday – Friday (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Short week Thursday ends at 3:00 PM
