As an Operations & Project Manager, you will oversee daily operations across your assigned client sites, ensuring smooth operations while optimizing efficiency and productivity. Your primary responsibilities will include managing employee performance, leading teams, and coordinating resources to achieve operational goals. You will collaborate with other Operations Managers and departments to align with organizational objectives and enhance both operational and strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations:
Manage direct reports and mentor team members, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.
Familiarity with the Saskatchewan Employment Act.
Negotiate employment and client contracts.
Create or amend policies, procedures, and templates.
Manage relationships with clients and field staff, focusing on career pathing and resource planning.
Travel regularly to project sites and corporate offices to support relationship development and project needs.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.
Participate in company events and volunteer opportunities.
Collaborate with internal groups to improve processes and systems for company growth and efficiency.
Ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
Conduct biweekly timesheet and payroll reviews.
Review monthly invoices and assist accounting with timely payments.
Business Development:
Develop proposals for engineering, project management, and secondment/owner representative services.
Attend trade shows and conferences.
Build and maintain trusted client relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
Identify client needs and potential projects to provide tailored solutions.
Project Management Office:
Develop and implement policies, standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Execute projects according to established frameworks.
Support project teams to ensure successful execution, achieving quality, time, and budget targets.
Participate in project work as needed to resolve issues.
Strategic:
Contribute to the execution of strategic goals related to Marketing, Business Development, Operations, Human Resources, and the Project Management Office.
Support corporate initiatives, including career pathing, project management execution, project data storage, and continuous improvement programs.
Provide expertise to support company-wide goals and initiatives.
Education in Engineering, Technology, Project Management, Trades, or other related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mining, energy, consulting or heavy industrial sectors.
Experience in client relationship management.
Must have reliable transportation for commuting to work and job sites.
Nice to Have:
Proven project management experience, including managing budgets, schedules, safety, quality, and risks within multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong technical background with the ability to provide solutions and guidance.
Experience with business development and identifying new project opportunities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
