Cabinet Expressions is seeking a hard-working, reliable person to join our team as an Assembler. The Assembler is responsible for building, repairing and installing, if required, of all cabinets, countertops, commercial millwork and other related fixtures. The Assembler verifies shop designs, blueprints and calculations to ensure alignment and quality workmanship. Assemblers operate woodworking equipment and other hand-held devices to prepare and fabricate wood/wood products as well as solid or plastic laminated components. Assemblers must have an eye for detail and the skill to build custom components as needed. The Assembler works both independently and within a team at times.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This job is a full-time position, with the hours of 7:30am-5pm Monday through Friday. Work will be conducted indoors. This job is physically demanding, employees are required to stand for long periods of time and make repetitive movements, such as twisting and bending. Employees must be compliant with health and safety standards and promote a positive work environment. A full-benefits package will be provided following the probationary period. Starting wage for this position will be $22-25 per hour depending on experience levels.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Build cabinets, countertops, commercial millwork and all aspects thereof
Prepare and fabricate wood and wood products.
Prepare and fabricate solid surface and plastic laminates components
Operate saws, sanders, fastening devices, and woodworking equipment
Examine shop drawings for conformity and provide solutions for any issues
Build custom components, jigs, and templates as needed
Knowledge of adhesives and applications
Work with metric and imperial measurements
Able to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
Provide installation support if required.
Motivated individual
Interact with fellow employees to mitigate and solve issues that may arise
Train other personnel as required
Ability to work in a team environment
REQUIREMENTS
Experience in cabinetry or cabinet making
Journeyman Designation (Preferred)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools
Fluently speak and read English
