Harvard Broadcasting is looking for a Payroll & Human Resources Administrator. This position is a full-time position. The position reports to the Manager, People Ops and Payroll and can be based out of Calgary (Alberta) or Regina (Saskatchewan) or Remote. You will support the business in providing a wide range of administrative functions, as well as processing payroll for 200+ employees. The ideal candidate must possess a positive attitude and interact well with others. They must have excellent attention to detail and be able to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks once.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Processing semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees in multiple jurisdictions
Employee onboarding and offboarding
Assist and answer questions/inquiries/concerns from employees
Group Benefits, Pension and RRSP Plan administration
Calculating remuneration for commission-based employees
Year-End reporting and other CRA reporting/forms
Maintain working knowledge of current legislation for multiple jurisdictions (Federal/Alberta/Saskatchewan)
Preparation of payroll related journal and accounts payable entries
WCB administration and annual reporting
Ensuring company policies, procedures and processes established are current and posted
Assist with an upcoming Accounting/Payroll Software Conversion

Highly detailed with outstanding organizational abilities

Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Essential Requirements:
3+ years of payroll experience (preferably using an in-house system) or Dayforce
Preference will be given to certified Payroll Compliance Practitioners (PCP)
Proficient with the entire Microsoft Office suite
Experience integrating a new payroll/accounting system would be an asset
Accounting knowledge with accounting software experience would be an asset
Experience with Federal occupational health and safety legislation would be an asset
Experience with Dayforce HCM would be an asset
