En tant qu’acheteur chez Valmet, vous serez responsable des activités d’approvisionnement nécessaires pour mettre à jour et maintenir les meilleurs prix et délais de livraison. Responsabilités : Gérer la qualité des produits des fournisseurs, la conception, les spécifications et la fabricabilité afin d’assurer la conformité à toutes les obligations contractuelles et aux normes de qualité des fournisseurs Valmet. Maintenir les bons de commande (PO) assignés depuis la commande initiale jusqu’à la réception et le traitement des factures. Développer et gérer les relations commerciales avec les fournisseurs et sous-traitants. Suivre les livraisons prévues pour anticiper les niveaux d’inventaire et réagir en accélérant ou en retardant les livraisons nécessaires. Être responsable du maintien et de l’optimisation des niveaux d’inventaire. Collaborer avec les équipes de conception et d’ingénierie pour trouver de nouveaux matériaux nécessaires au développement de nouveaux produits et soumettre à l’ingénierie des matériaux permettant de réduire les coûts. Profil recherché : Pour réussir dans ce rôle, vous devez avoir : Un diplôme collégial en technologie du génie (mécanique, industriel ou aérospatial) ou en gestion de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, avec une expérience préalable en gestion des approvisionnements et achats en fabrication. Capacité à analyser et lire des dessins industriels et des plans de pièces complexes. Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite (français et anglais). Expérience avec les systèmes ERP pour la gestion des processus d’affaires complets, de la planification et des achats jusqu’aux ventes et au service client (un atout). Capacité à résoudre les obstacles et à livrer des résultats sous pression. Excellentes aptitudes en négociation. Capacité à travailler à distance avec d’autres sites Valmet. As a buyer at Valmet, you will be responsible for sourcing activities required to update and maintain the best prices and delivery times. Responsibilities include Managing supplier product quality, design, specifications and manufacturability to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and compliance with Valmet Vendor Quality Standards. Maintain assigned Purchase Orders (PO) from the initial order through receipt and invoice processing. Develop and manage business relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Track deliveries scheduled to forecast inventory levels and respond by accelerating or delaying deliveries required. Responsible to maintain and optimize inventory levels. Work with the design and engineering teams to find new materials required in the development of new products and submit to engineering department, new materials to reduce costs. Expectations To be successful in this role you will need the following: A college’s degree in engineering technology (Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace) or supply chain management with prior work experience in supply management and manufacturing purchasing. Ability to analyze and read industrial drawings and blueprints of complex parts. Excellent verbal and written communications skills (French and English). Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for management of full business processes ranging from planning and purchasing to sales and customer service would be considered as an asset. Capability to resolve roadblocks and capacity to provide results when working under pressure. Excellent negotiation skills. Ability to work remotely with other Valmet locations. Knowledge and experience of the pulp and paper industry would be considered an asset. Willingness to rotate in other roles internally as your professional career unfolds.
