The Opportunity
We’re looking for a friendly and energetic Customer Service and Administrative Support Representative to join our team at the Irving Oil Field House! As the first point of contact for our customers, members, and visitors, you’ll help create a welcoming and positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
In this role, you’ll share information about our programs, services, and facility rentals, while supporting the daily operations that keep our community hub running smoothly. Reporting to the Field House Supervisor, you’ll play an important part in connecting people to opportunities for recreation, wellness, and community engagement.

Responsibilities
Models appropriate behaviours in line with the YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick’s mission, vision and values; establishes rapport and maintains effective relationship-building behaviour with staff, volunteers and members.
Represents the YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick and Newcomer Connections in a professional manner.
Understands and integrates the value of philanthropy and volunteerism and imparts this knowledge and beliefs upon staff, volunteers and members.
Self-manages personal and professional development.
Skills and Qualifications
Previous sales or customer service experience is an asset.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Computer experience working with Microsoft Applications.
Strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
First Aid/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
Employment is contingent on having a clean Criminal Record Check.

Core Responsibilities
Set up for rentals, including multi-purpose room (tables & chairs), birthdays including kinder mats & equipment, soccer nets, and more.
Greet, converse, and provide exceptional Y experiences to members and visitors.
Understand all programs and services the YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick offers.
Build relationships with members and participants to engage and connect them to the Y’s program and services.
Ensure all members adhere to the Member Etiquette and the Y’s Values.
Ensure adherence to and abide by YMCA’s Service that Shines Standards, ensuring a clean and well-maintained centre in daily interactions with visitors or members. Including supporting them through membership applications, program registrations, processing payments, member orientations, facility tours, answering incoming calls, emails, and questions, resolving member concerns.
Create bookings for rentals and take payments for bookings/rentals within prescribed processes.
Assist in completing administrative and communication tasks as directed by the Supervisor of Membership and Manager of the Field House.
Assist with rental tasks including adding and adjusting rental permits.
Track attendant. Control track, field, and court operations. This includes, helping with field changes from sport to sport, operating net system, and moving soccer nets.
Controlling the signing in and out of equipment for members.
Ensure the track is safe for members and track pass users to run or walk, keep people of the track with equipment and make sure people are using the correct lanes.
