OLG’s retail network spans across 10K+ locations across the province and represents an area with immense opportunities and ongoing innovation. As part of the Retail Strategy and Transformation team and reporting to the Director of Strategy Development, you will own components of deliverables supporting research and analysis on lottery products, Retail channels and operations, and other key areas contributing to driving key decisions for OLG that will be presented to key members of OLG’s leadership team (e.g. C-Suite, VP, etc.) in support of delivering key divisional and enterprise initiatives. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Retail Strategy & Transformation, MBA Intern Support the Chief Lottery Officer and Senior Divisional Leadership team on the short/long term divisional strategy and the establishment of divisional priorities and key performance indicators Strive to be a strategic thought leader, defining the scope and approach for high-priority projects arising from Lottery SLT, Enterprise, and Board requests related to Lottery and retail strategy. Provide objective analysis to solve complex business challenges Support identification of strategic growth opportunities for the organization and lead the development of resulting proposals and business cases Support strategic analysis and recommendations through hypothesis-led problem framing, research and analytics. Support financial modeling, scenario planning, and market sizing to uncover high-impact opportunities. Craft compelling, executive-level presentations and insights that shape leadership decisions. Shape OLG Lottery and Retail division by contributing to corporate planning (e.g., annual business plans, Quarterly Business Discussions, Enterprise and Divisional Objectives and Key Results, etc.). Champion cross-functional strategic initiatives, deploying data-driven solutions that transform business outcomes. Prepare strategic briefings and engaging with government/regulatory partners. Learning and growing with a supportive team while contributing to meaningful projects. Digital Strategy and Innovation, MBA Intern Analyzing internal and external data to generate insights and strategic recommendations. Designing and implementing innovative analytical or research solutions. Creating engaging presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Supporting the development and optimization of business strategies, campaigns, or operational initiatives. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and deliver impactful outcomes. Learning and growing with a supportive team while contributing to meaningful projects. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Currently pursuing an MBA. Understanding of strategy development, financial modelling, and corporate planning. Understanding of basic business concepts (e.g., market sizing, benchmarking, business metrics, etc.). Familiarity with marketing, product, or strategy principles in a digital, retail or consumer-facing environment. Ability to distill complex data into actionable insights and clear recommendations. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with and influence senior leadership to develop and act on strategic insights. Understanding of industry research, problem solving, and analytics methodologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Alteryx is an asset. A team player - a collaborative, agile mindset with a passion for gaming, entertainment, and public-sector strategy. Motivated self-starter with a passion for problem solving, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and able to thrive in a collaborative, agile, and fast-paced environment. WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY: Technical: a strong aptitude for structured and unstructured problem solving and quantitative analysis.
