This role oversees all dockmaster staff, ensures compliance with QuadReal’s standards, supports tenant and vendor needs, and maintains a secure dock environment aligned with Oakridge Park’s premium retail experience. Dockmaster Lead – Oakridge Park Location: Vancouver, BC Reports to: Manager, Security & Life Safety Key Duties & Responsibilities Leadership & Team Oversight Lead, supervise, and mentor all dockmaster staff, including Dock Operators and Flaggers. Set performance objectives, track KPIs, and conduct regular team meetings. Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and training requirements. Dock Operations Oversee and maintain loading dock operations. Enforce dock standards as outlined by policies and procedures. Schedule and coordinate deliveries to minimize congestion. Conduct weekly inspections of all equipment (overhead doors, levelers, compactors) and report deficiencies. Access & Security Maintain access control strategy by monitoring and documenting all couriers and delivery personnel entering the premises. Work in close coordination with Security and Building Operations on an ongoing basis. Tenant & Vendor Support Respond promptly to tenant inquiries and service requests via QuadReal Connect. Communicate directly and professionally with tenants, tenant managers, and service delivery drivers to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations. Build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders to support operational excellence. Assist with dock management, including waste removal, recycling, and e-waste programs. Health & Safety Conduct monthly health and safety checks for the loading dock. Report any noted issues or hazards to the direct manager. Other Perform additional duties as assigned. Experience & Qualifications 1-3 years in dock operations, logistics, or facilities management. Previous leadership experience in a fast-paced environment. Skills Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage delivery schedules and enforce policies. Leadership & Communication Proven ability to supervise, train, and develop teams. Excellent communication skills for interacting with tenants, vendors, and internal staff. Ability to build positive relationships and resolve issues promptly. Other Comfortable using technology for scheduling and reporting. Physically able to inspect dock areas and equipment. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $76,000-78,000. The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.
