Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Services, the Territorial Manager, Health, Safety and Emergency Preparedness (Manager) is tasked with the strategic leadership, management, and administration of the Health, Safety and Emergency Preparedness Unit, in keeping with its mandate while contributing to satisfying the Government of Nunavut’s and Department’s commitment creating healthy, safe, and secure environments for departmental staff, students and school staff, and others working in or a part of Nunavut’s education system. The Manager supports the Department in the application of its Project Management Process Administrative Directive and participates in Committees as and when required that pertain to the activities of the Division and / or the Department as a whole. Additionally, the position ensures that the services and supports they provide reflect and are aligned with Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (IQ) principles.
