Official Internal Job Title Personal Insurance Underwriter Status: Temporary (Fixed Term) Job Description: As the successful candidate you will be knowledgeable, naturally curious, and be able to provide best in class service to a portfolio of Broker partners while adhering to Unica’s targets. The position requires your strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and successfully manage accountabilities within a fast paced and high-volume environment. Positions Available: Temporary - 1 year contract What We Offer Award winning culture Flexible hybrid working conditions (1 day in the office per week) Group Benefits from first day Defined Benefits pension plan Generous time off benefits Growth opportunities Summary Of Role & Responsibilities: Underwrite at a level of moderate to complex level of risk applications and renewal business Provide best in class service to a VIP portfolio of Brokers for Auto and Property Personal Lines business while adhering to Unica's appetite and binding authority Facilitate Broker training as needed (including educating our broker partners about Unica’s target market and strategy Analyze, create and provide monthly reports to management and identify trends on the designated portfolio Travel to broker partners as needed Handle calls on the underwriting queue and provide referral support for the Underwriting Associates and broker partners Education And Experience 3 or more years Personal Insurance experience Enrollment in or completion of the CIP/FCIP designation University or College degree; business or insurance-related program an asset Proficient in Microsoft Office products Exceptional phone etiquette Interested in a career in a company where collaboration and diversity of expertise are at the forefront?
