Role Overview
The Commercial Analyst at Enfinite is responsible for ensuring our commercial agreements and arrangements are executed effectively, monitored regularly, and leveraged strategically across the organization. The role requires continuous contract evaluation and reporting, cross-departmental collaboration, and contributing to negotiating strategy. They are proactive in identifying risks, organized in managing obligations, and confident collaborating across technical and business teams.
Core Responsibilities
Contract Execution and Compliance Support
Oversee and assist in the day-to-day execution of commercial contracts to ensure all terms, obligations, and performance requirements are met. Additionally, ensuring internal teams understand and meet necessary requirements.
Track defined contract compliance metrics, identifying gaps, risks, or deviations from agreed terms.
Support the preparation of compliance reports and dashboards, highlighting key issues, risks, or milestones.
Maintain timely and accurate records and documentation related to contract performance and obligations.
Contract Obligation & Performance Monitoring
Assist with interpreting contract language and translating requirements into actionable items for internal teams.
Coordinate with internal teams (operations, engineering, finance, and projects) to gather information needed for performance monitoring and to ensure timely completion of obligations.
Maintain organized records of contract documentation, obligation status, and performance metrics.
Identify early indicators of issues based on operational data and escalate them appropriately.
Provide visibility into upcoming milestones, deadlines, or obligations that require internal action, such as contract expirations or key contract milestones.
Counterparty Engagement
Attend and participate in meetings with contract counterparties to support senior team members in discussing performance, issue resolution, and alignment of expectations.
Prepare background materials, compliance metrics, performance summaries, and issue logs for counterparty discussions.
Foster collaborative relationships to enhance contract execution and minimize disputes, including documenting meeting actions and follow-up requirements.
Negotiation & Strategy Preparation Support
Assist in preparing for negotiations by analyzing historical performance, analyzing trends, compiling internal inputs, identifying leverage points, and researching market terms.
Contribute to developing negotiation strategies, identifying key financial value drivers, and developing decision frameworks.
Support the drafting, redlining, and review of contract language in collaboration with the legal function.
Cross-Functional Information Flow & Decision Making Support
Serve as a key liaison between internal groups to ensure accurate technical information feeds into contract decisions and serve as a central point of coordination for all contract-related information across departments.
Ensure key stakeholders have the data, analysis, and insights for alignment on contract obligations, risks, and upcoming decisions that are needed to make informed contract decisions.
Facilitate communication between internal teams (operations, engineering, finance, and projects) by providing structured summaries and recommendations on operational insights and contract requirements, to ensure alignment throughout the contract lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience
Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, with strong preference for 2+ years of experience in contract management, commercial analysis, compliance, insolvency, restructuring, creditor advisory, or a related field.
Experience reviewing and supporting commercial contracts, including contract execution, obligation tracking, compliance monitoring, and performance management.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience preparing reports, dashboards, summaries, or performance metrics to support decision-making.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, finance, legal, and project teams, and to support commercial discussions, negotiations, and contract amendments.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple contracts, priorities, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, and comfort working with multiple data sources.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, actionable insights.
Exposure to risk identification, compliance frameworks, or performance monitoring within contractual or operational environments.
