Job Summary:
The QA Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and functionality of software releases and deployments through thorough testing, documentation, and communication with project teams. This role supports continuous improvement by maintaining organized tracking systems and ensuring that all assigned work items are completed efficiently and to standard.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review the Release and Deployment Tracking Sheet to identify work that needs to be completed
- Check emails daily to verify that all releases and deployments are up to date and accurately reflected on the tracking sheet
- Select the top-priority item from the tracking list and begin testing
- Participate in the daily standup meeting to provide updates on planned workload and current progress
- Run an ADO query to ensure there are no tickets in your queue that require updates or action
- Complete and submit the Replicon timesheet for the week to ensure accurate reporting of work hours and activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for QA processes, test cases, and results
- Update and refine testing procedures as tools, systems, and project requirements evolve
- Support new QA team members with onboarding, process overviews, and tool navigation
- Could write and maintain stress tests using jMeter
- Could write automated Selenium Tests with C#
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to follow documented test cases, procedures, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail when executing tests and documenting results
- Clear written communication skills for documenting defects and test findings
- Basic proficiency using Windows 10 or Windows 11
- Comfortable using web-based and Windows-based business applications
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
- Familiarity with browser development tools (e.g., Chrome or Edge DevTools)
- Exposure to performance or load testing tools (e.g., JMeter)
- Exposure to automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium)
- Familiarity with basic programming or scripting concepts (e.g., C#)
Work Environment:
- Office setting with a moderate noise level
- The employee will work at an individual workstation, using a telephone and computer
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine
This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
- The person in this position frequently communicates via Web Forms, Email, and MS Teams Calls & Chats
