Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive dashboards and reporting leveraging Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
- Work across functional areas to understand and identify reporting objectives to develop relevant reporting capabilities
- Collect, cleanse, and process data sets from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets and external sources to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Identify, analyze, interpret and report on trends or patterns in data sets
- Review extracts, reports, printouts, and performance indicators to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems, including data quality, data integrity issues, and follow the divisional data governance policies
- Explore data sets and draw meaningful conclusions and insights, including identifying critical metrics and KPIs
- Evaluate, analyze, and recommend potential solutions that enhance analytics and reporting
- Conduct gap analysis to identify and recommend process improvements that affect data quality
- Investigate, evaluate and/or propose solutions to identified problems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and IT, to address data-related challenges
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in financial management and investment support environment with exposure to relevant applications and workflow activities
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, or data visualization libraries
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, Power Query or others
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in defining, implementing, and supporting innovative business solutions
- Familiarity with database systems and data storage technologies
- Experience with machine learning and predictive modeling is an asset
- Ability to maintain an innovative mindset focused on delivering business value in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
