The mission of the Project Manager, Retail Construction at Cozey As Cozey is accelerating its retail expansion, we're looking for a Construction Project Manager to lead the execution of our physical retail strategy.
This includes managing multiple retail build-outs --- from lease execution to grand openings --- with a laser focus on hitting deadlines, staying within budget, and delivering high-quality store environments that elevate our customer experience. You will serve as the connective tissue between Cozey and external partners including architects, general contractors, landlords, and municipal permitting offices. You'll also be the internal voice ensuring operational readiness and adherence to lease commitments, brand standards, and strategic goals.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role ideal for someone with strong project management expertise, retail construction experience, and the leadership to navigate multiple timelines and partners. What you'll be doing Manage the full development lifecycle of retail store projects (Canada international), from schematic design to store opening Ensure each project is completed on schedule, within budget, and aligned with Cozey's lease obligations and brand standards Serve as the main liaison with architects, general contractors, landlords, and consultants to keep all partners aligned and accountable Manage the permitting process with local authorities in collaboration with architectural teams, ensuring regulatory timelines are met Build and maintain detailed construction schedules and budgets, track milestone progress, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality Partner with retail, logistics, and tech teams to coordinate product delivery, store setup, and punch list resolution prior to launch Provide recommendations on lease structures and delivery clauses to minimize construction risk and improve execution efficiency We'd love to hear from you if you have 4--6 years of project management experience in retail construction, architecture, real estate development, or construction coordination. A degree in architecture, construction management, urban planning, engineering, or a related field is an asset Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive accountability with external vendors.
Experience coordinating permit applications and managing general contractors and design consultants. Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, critical path method (CPM), and retail build-out phases. Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
Health \& Safety certification is an asset. Experience reviewing and interpreting lease clauses relating to delivery conditions, timelines, and landlord obligations is a strong asset. Based in Montreal or surrounding area and willing to travel occasionally to store sites.
