Contaminant Hydrogeologist, Western Canadian
- Actively participate and drive Montrose's strong safety culture
- Oversee and/or technically support the management of site assessment, remediation and monitoring project scopes, timelines, budgets, and communication with clients and project related stakeholders
- Prepare and/or review technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and reports
- Ensure internal communication and collaboration to facilitate delivery of high-quality products to meet our clients' unique project needs
- Work within a well-organized, and innovative culture with support systems that empower our professionals to focus on providing high quality solutions to our clients
- Transfer knowledge, share experiences, and support the training and mentorship of colleagues
- Be part of a technical practice community that supports team and personal innovation, and growth and success at all levels
- Proactively engage and participate in development opportunities and your career growth
What We Are Looking For
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field
- Registration in or a member in good standing of a professional organization (e.g. APEGA)
- A minimum of 8 years' consulting experience in site assessment, remediation, and monitoring projects with a focus on hydrogeology
- Knowledge and experience with the BC, Alberta and/or Saskatchewan regulatory frameworks
- Experience with borehole logging, sample collection, field screening, and sample selection
- Strong data evaluation skills and ability to make decisions based on findings
- Experience writing and reviewing technical reports, work plans and cost estimates and giving presentations to multi-stakeholder groups
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), and a collaborative attitude
- Willingness to provide technical direction and mentorship to junior professionals
- Experience with Workday software would be an asset
- A valid and clean class 5 driver's license with no restrictions
- Preference given to those who have experience managing complex salt or hydrocarbon impacted sites
