Profile
We are currently seeking an Accident Benefits Law Clerk with 5-10 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will perform full legal administrative work within the Accident Benefits department, in a team environment. The position is for permanent full-time. We are looking for a candidate to start immediately.
Responsibilities
- Completion of OCF Forms according to the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule requirements
- Strong understanding of LAT procedures
- Drafting LAT applications, Case Conference Summary Forms, etc.
- Transcribe dictations
- Update medical briefs and/or productions
- Manage files through all stages of the legal process, including opening and closing files
- Prepare written correspondence based on written or verbal instructions
- Communication with clients, insurance companies and other law firms (by-phone, email, etc.)
- Experience with Catastrophic Impairment cases a bonus
- Other duties as required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accident Benefits
- Law Clerk diploma/certificate is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook with excellent keyboarding and grammar skills
- Proficiency in Soluno is a bonus
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English Language (other languages also an asset)
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
- Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented atmosphere
- Possess a high standard of integrity, ethics, judgment, discretion and confidentiality
