About the Role:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving customer engagement, retention, and loyalty for Scoop Insurance, part of the RATESDOTCA family of companies and one of the fastest-growing insurance brokerages in Canada with over 100,000 customers. This role focuses on developing and executing strategies to onboard new clients, engage them with relevant tips and content, drive renewals, and support cross-selling initiatives for Scoop's range of products, including auto, home, commercial, travel, and life insurance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer engagement, email marketing, and cross-sell strategies, combined with a data-driven and customer-centric approach to marketing.
Work Location:
- This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring candidates to work on-site in the Toronto office twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and in the Welland office once weekly (Wednesdays).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement customer engagement strategies, ensuring consistent and meaningful interactions throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Drive loyalty and retention by creating targeted email marketing campaigns, crafting onboarding programs, and developing strategies to encourage renewals across Scoop's suite of insurance products.
- Manage cross-sell and upsell campaigns to introduce customers to additional insurance offerings, increasing customer lifetime value.
- Optimize and manage marketing needs for the Service, Sales, and Underwriting teams, ensuring clear and effective communication with customers.
- Oversee the creation and management of IVR (Interactive Voice Response) phone scripts to improve customer experience and drive results.
- Manage customer communication plans, including emails, newsletters, and account updates, to keep customers informed and engaged.
- Analyze campaign metrics to assess the performance of customer engagement initiatives and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Champion Google review generation and manage online community of Scoop Insurance's customers.
- Drive customer adoption and engagement for our digital self-service platform, myScoop, by developing and executing targeted marketing strategies and initiatives.
- Support sales efforts to drive referrals and repeat business through thoughtful customer communication.
- Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitors, integrating insights into marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring company-wide alignment in initiatives and messaging.
- Effectively manage projects, provide clear updates, and maintain open communication with marketing peers, cross-functional teams, and your direct manager.
What You Should Have:
Education \& Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in customer engagement, retention marketing, and CRM strategies.
- Prior experience in the insurance industry or a brokerage setting is a strong asset.
Skill Set:
- Proficiency in creating and managing email marketing campaigns and marketing automation tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor and interpret campaign results.
- Proven experience with cross-sell and upsell strategies.
- Ability to manage multi-channel marketing efforts, including email, phone scripts (IVR), and customer-facing content.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A data-driven mindset with a strong problem-solving orientation.
