Advantage Capital Strategies Group (ACS Group) is an investment management firm, founded in 2021 specializing in Sustainable Investing. We are driven by the mission to provide investors with strong financial returns and sustainability outcomes. Our goal is to be the Canadian leader in public market Sustainable Investing.
We are registered with the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) as a Portfolio Manager, Investment Fund Manager and Exempt Market Dealer. Our funds have a strong investment track record, and we are looking to take the next step in growing our business.
We are hiring a Director of Relationships to lead the firm's sales growth efforts, with an initial focus on prospective foundation and exempt market clients. You will be reporting to the CEO and work closely with all members of a small and nimble group. This is an individual contributor role, however as the firm grows, there is an opportunity to expand your team.
What you will do:
- Design and lead the firm's sales execution: Grow the firm's client base by building and maintaining relationships with prospective clients. This covers full-cycle relationship building, from initial outreach to client onboarding. The Director will also be tasked with top-grading sales, marketing systems, and protocols and will serve as an Exempt Market Dealer for the firm.
- Provide client service to current client base: In collaboration with the CEO and the Portfolio Manager, ensure that the needs of existing clients are being met. Where applicable and aligned with your skills, the Director can help provide financial planning to select clients.
- Expand market awareness of Advantage Capital Strategies Group: Working with consultants and the firm's leadership team, execute marketing efforts across a variety of channels. This includes travel to in-person events, efforts on earned media, LinkedIn content and co-leading the firm's quarterly mailout.
- Contribute to our work on Sustainable Investing:Engage with the portfolio team to understand and contribute to the firm's investment strategy. Help the portfolio team Identify opportunities for the firm to better meet client needs.
Who you are:
- Passionate about Sustainable Investing: You believe that investing sustainably allows an investor to drive both financial return and create sustainability outcomes. You are deeply passionate about specific sustainability issues and value the opportunity to drive change in the business and investment community.
- Client and Relationship Focused: You have worked in a sales or relationship development role, or are eager to step into one, with several years experience in client-facing areas like relationship development, client service, or consulting.
- A self-starter who likes autonomy in carrying out their role: This role demands a high level of autonomy in managing partner and deal pipelines, coordinating meetings, and keeping tasks on track. You have a proven ability to stay organized, prioritize effectively, and drive progress toward topline goals.
- Curious and adaptable with the desire to contribute to an entrepreneurial organization:The role may have you working one day with management on strategic initiatives, such as identifying optimal distribution channels and methods, to task-oriented work the next, such as email outreach. Your curiosity drives you to ask insightful questions, deepen your understanding of the market and identify ways to continuously improve.
- Helpful but not required: Progress towards or interest in pursuing a Certified Financial Planner designation, progress towards a CFA or CIM designation, completion of Canadian Securities Course, and/or experience in exempt market relationship development is helpful but not essential.

Total compensation includes:
- Competitive on-target total compensation of up to $150k, including base of $100k to $120k and up to a 30% bonus allocation
- Health and dental benefits
- Employer contribution to RRSP (50% of eligible amount)
- 4 weeks of vacation
