What you'll be doing:
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide strategic IT counsel.
- Defining and contributing to the development of our data strategy, offering guidance to optimize the structure and efficiency of our I\&IT systems.
- Providing deep subject matter expertise in Information Management \& IT technology, with a strong focus on data lakehouse architectures, data pipelines, and advanced analytics.
- Acting as the go-to technical advisor on all facets of data strategy.
- Developing and implementing processes and procedures for seamless data strategy implementation, integration, and ingestion.
- Ensuring the development of high-quality, reliable, and performant data architectures and pipelines that adhere to standard technologies and approved patterns.
- Proactively identifying and resolving technical challenges to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables within budget and exceeding expectations.
- Collaborating closely with internal clients to meticulously define data and integration requirements.
- Crafting clear and compelling reports and presentations, including well-researched options, strategic recommendations, and actionable implementation plans.
- Applying your understanding of change-management principles to facilitate smooth transitions.
- Leveraging your strong knowledge of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
- Embracing a continuous improvement mindset to drive innovation and efficiency.
What you need to bring:
- 5 years of proven experience leading teams in the implementation of complex data pipelines and integrations.
- 5 years of hands-on experience developing robust processes and procedures for implementing data strategy, integration, and ingestion.
- Solid and demonstrable knowledge of modern data analytics and technologies (i.e., Microsoft Azure Datalake, Databricks, etc.).
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience working within the public sector.
- Knowledge of the public transit domain.
- Rail Operations and Maintenance (O\&M) experience.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is 80/hr-90/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
