A well-established organization based in Toronto is seeking an experienced and versatile Human Resources Manager to support its continued growth and evolution. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive HR professional with a minimum of five years' experience in both HR operations and strategic advisory roles.
The successful candidate will bring a hands-on approach to all areas of HR, including employee relations, compliance, performance management, and engagement initiatives. You'll work closely with leadership to shape a positive workplace culture and ensure HR practices are aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
- Serve as a strategic partner to leadership on workforce planning and organizational needs.
- Provide expert guidance to managers and partner organizations on HR-related matters.
- Oversee performance management, employee relations, and compliance programs.
- Design and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Support recruitment efforts and oversee new hire onboarding and orientation.
- Maintain and improve HR policies and procedures in compliance with employment legislation.
- Manage payroll processes, benefits administration, and employee records.
- Investigate and resolve employee concerns in a fair, consistent, and compliant manner.
- Contribute to HR reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, including both strategic and operational roles.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices in Canada.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HRIS platforms and related tools.
- HR and/or Payroll certification is an asset.
