About the Role: As the account director of the business, you will be the primary client contact for the brands assigned, providing these clients with strategic, integrated marketing solutions.
With a primary specialty in Healthcare Communications, this role requires you to manage an internal integrated communications team, ensuring all client work is flawlessly executed. Managed the internal team, agency resources, and workflow process. Primary contact with senior clients, providing clients with innovative short and long-term strategic marketing guidance.
Fully understand all aspects of the clients' business and stay on top of the changing competitive business environment. Complete understanding of the healthcare/pharmaceutical regulatory environment and how to navigate procedures and approvals. Take the lead role in building the client's business and develop a positive and partnering relationship with all clients based on trust and respect.
Generate new initiatives for the agency-client partnership and drive conversations about the future, focusing on what comes next regarding work. Aspire to and inspire world-class creatives with clients and within the agency teams, as evidenced by case studies and award-winning submissions. Ensure that the account team produces all client work with the highest quality, on time, and on budget.
Take responsibility for your team's outputs and troubleshoot effectively whenever needed, while engaging your manager where appropriate. Ensure that strategies are being met on multiple ongoing campaigns. Overall fiscal responsibility for budgets, billings, profitability, and forecasting.
Provide input into staffing plans, budgets, and promotions. Take an active role in building a positive agency culture. Take an active role in career development for all direct reports, providing mentorship and conducting ongoing performance evaluations.
Assist and lead new business initiatives, both organic and net new growth. About You: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a client service role at an agency focusing on healthcare communications.
Ability to keep composure in high-stress situations and resolve tensions on the team and with the client. Experience in multiple integrated campaigns with a digital-first mindset. For Rx roles, solid experience navigating PAAB is a prerequisite.
For CH roles, solid experience navigating ASC is a prerequisite. Solid understanding of agency and creative process with the ability to inspire world-class creative. Track record of building strong, long-term client relationships.
An understanding of how to set performance goals and continually drive for results and the highest quality standards. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated fiscal management skills.
Experienced people manager, demonstrating strong mentoring abilities. Superior organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail. Demonstrated strategic thinker with the ability to lead a business.
Solid understanding of business and the current marketplace. Category experience is a strong asset. Ability to design and deliver a presentation with a creative flair.
