A leading high-volume big-box retailer is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead operations at one of their flagship locations. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to drive performance, lead a large, diverse team, and deliver an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, metrics-focused leader with strong operational experience in general merchandise retail. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering consistency while managing a busy, high-performing store. Recruit, train, and develop department managers and frontline team members to achieve operational excellence
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and labor productivity, adjusting as needed to hit targets
Oversee merchandise flow, planograms, in-stock levels, and seasonal transitions
Ensure adherence to loss prevention, safety, and compliance protocols
Execute promotional campaigns, pricing strategies, and brand standards consistently across all departments
Analyze financial reports, identify trends, and implement corrective action plans to drive profitability
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance across the entire store team
Represent the brand within the local community and build strong customer relationshipsRequirements5+ years in a senior retail management role, preferably in a big-box or general merchandise format
Proven leadership experience managing large teams (50+ staff), with strong coaching and performance management skills
Financial and operational acumen, with a track record of achieving revenue, margin, and efficiency goals
Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to change in a fast-paced retail environment
Strong communication and decision-making skills
