Job Description Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting and identifying when project-specific training is required, which may include weekly training topics, hazard-specific training, and the HSE Operating Procedure (HSEOP).
- Participate in and provide information for HSE meetings.
- Provide the project team with project-specific information and statistics to develop trends and assist with the creation of trend action plans.
- Conduct and document project HSE inspections.
- Verify that corrective actions are implemented.
Essential Skills

5-10 years' experience in a related industry with direct HSE experience.

Knowledge of applicable OH\&S and environmental legislation.

Ability to implement HSE processes.

Demonstrated ability to influence project teams regarding HSE responsibility.

Ability to identify and resolve conflicts with craft workers.

Effective communication and presentation skills.

Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technologies.

Residing in Vancouver or within the area is preferred.

Postsecondary diploma or degree in Occupational Health \& Safety (OH\&S) is considered an asset.

Safety designation such as NCSO, CRSP, or CHST are considered an asset.
