The OMERS Capital Markets Finance Business Operations team partners with OMERS Capital Markets, Financial \& Performance Reporting, Investment Platforms, Operations, Data \& Technology, Risk \& Compliance teams to mobilize continuous improvement projects to accomplish our annual strategic goals \& objectives.
We also work closely with our Transformation Office, managing our larger, multi-year Capital Markets operating model change program, to ensure continuity between the evolving needs and states of our teams and the future-state Operating Model.
Bringing your passions for process optimization and Agile delivery, you will join an entrepreneurial, high-profile team focused on enabling Capital Markets Finance colleagues make improvements to our workflows, platforms, processes, and culture.

Scope of Position
Reporting to the Sr. Manager - Business Operations, you will support Capital Markets Finance teams in delivering and reporting on continuous improvement projects across the E2E trade lifecycle. You will play a key role in improving our operational reliability and keeping our leaders informed of teams' progress, so that collectively, we can deliver the best possible value for our members and Capital Markets teams.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Creation of bi-weekly project status assessments, tracking and reporting

Tracking initiative progress and KPIs on change initiatives \& run-state operational functions; collaborating with technical and operations teams to create and publish operational effectiveness dashboards for reporting metrics

Maintenance of Features, User Stories, Tasks on Azure DevOps to enable order and transparency into work-in-progress across multiple strategic priorities.

Documentation management \& creation, e.g creating and managing process maps, procedure documentation, and other visual management tools.

Meeting coordination, materials preparation, minute-taking

Other contributions, as required by our teams to enable delivery, and as opportunities arise
Qualifications:
-
Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, or a similar field.
-
3 years of experience in operations management, consulting, internal business transformation.

Experience building financial services operations solutions in an iterative, Agile environment is a plus (e.g. Post-Transaction Processing, Data Management, Settlements \& Payments, Corporate Actions, Investment Accounting, Financial and/or Management Reporting).

Natural interest in understanding how systems/processes work and a bias towards change in a pragmatic manner.

Ability to represent complex information in simple and professional ways (emails, slide presentations, procedure documentation).

Comfort with ambiguity and an evolving business environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams and levels of the organization
