Job Description:
Our Purpose at Sun Life is to help Clients achieve financial security and healthier lives. The Health Solutions division in Canada focuses on this mission. As part of the Pharmaceutical Benefits \& Innovation team, the Senior Pharmaceutical Benefits Strategist plays a key role in developing our leading drug management services. Responsibilities include:
- Contributing to and shaping the pharmaceutical benefits strategy
- Collaborating with Group Benefits Clients to implement drug management products and suggest innovative solutions
- Representing Sun Life in the private payer market
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Business Development to promote our drug management offerings and position Sun Life as a top Canadian workplace drug benefits provider
- Serve as the main contact for pharma-related client needs, including drug plan reviews and inquiries
- Identify trends in the pharmaceutical space and leverage them to refine our benefits strategy
- Lead the development of product strategies and pharmaceutical benefit narratives for internal and external audiences
- Gather market intelligence and monitor policy changes affecting pharmaceutical group benefits
Qualifications:
- Pharmacist experience (retail, hospital, industry) with strong knowledge of Canada's pharmaceutical environment
- Minimum of 5 years in insurance group benefits, pharmacy, market access, or pharmaceutical consulting
- Self-starter with strategic, critical thinking skills, capable of building relationships
- Data analysis skills to inform strategies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
- Organized, self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset, able to manage multiple priorities
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Collaborative and creative mindset
- Bilingualism (French and English) required for Quebec interactions

The salary range is CAD 78,000 to CAD 128,000, depending on location and experience. Sun Life offers incentive plans based on individual and company performance, with additional sales incentives for relevant roles.
