Nasittuq provides Operation \& Maintenance services for the North Warning System (NWS), a joint Canada and United States early-warning radar system with 47 sites in Northern Canada, a Control Centre and Support Centre in North Bay, ON, and a Contract Management Office in Ottawa, ON.

Northern Zones -- Types of Work:
- The General Labourer role supports NWS operations by ensuring personnel safety during outdoor work in northern locations. Responsibilities include:

Performing various duties, often unplanned or transient, which may involve trips to or working at Northern sites.

Traveling with teams during projects.

Supporting seasonal projects like tower painting.
- Skills \& Abilities:
-
Knowledge of Northern wildlife risks (bears, wolves, wolverines) is an asset.

Ability to travel frequently by helicopter and small aircraft.

Physically fit to walk on uneven Arctic terrain.

Strong problem-solving, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Effective communication with diverse groups.
Where possible, the program will offer exposure to different parts of the organization to experience various fields of expertise.
Eligibility Criteria:
- High school students or students enrolled in post-secondary education, planning to continue full-time studies next semester.
- Availability to work from July 04 to September 01, 2025.
- Adaptability, ability to prioritize, attention to detail, and cross-cultural competence.
- Ability to work effectively five days a week on-site.
- Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency, and eligibility for a Reliability security clearance.
- Ownership of safety footwear (steel-toe boots).
