Workrise is looking for a Project Control Coordinator for one of our Clients. This role will be based in Edmonton or Calgary. We would love for you to join our team!!!
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Control: Track project expenditures, forecast cost to completion, and manage cost variances.
- Budget Management: Work with project managers to develop and monitor project budgets.
- Scheduling: Support the development and monitoring of detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Reporting: Prepare regular financial and progress reports, including earned value analysis (EVA).
- Risk Management: Identify cost and schedule risks and assist in mitigation planning.
- Change Management: Track changes in scope and assess their impact on cost and schedule.
- Stakeholder Communication: Interface with engineers, procurement, and finance to ensure financial and schedule alignment.
Qualifications \& Experience:
- Diploma, degree, or equivalent training in construction, operations, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Strong background in cost and scheduling controls for multi-discipline construction projects.
- Industrial construction experience, including exposure to engineering, procurement, contracting, execution, and commissioning phases.
- Basic understanding of pipeline and terminal operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with Oracle or SAP systems.
- Experience with Power BI and/or EcoSys is a plus.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management techniques preferred.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, planning, and leadership abilities.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative, service-focused approach.
