What will you do?
- Lead the Solution Architecture team responsible for developing design for complex transformational and end to end optimization initiatives, including solution architecture, in accordance with strategies and objectives
- Provide expertise to colleagues and partners on a variety of issues in software design and system architecture
- Ensure delivery of OE architecture artifacts, including solution blueprints and decision documents
- Ensure the improvement of resiliency across the OE portfolio, and delivery of the OE current state Architecture \& North Star Architecture
- Deliver a roadmap to achieve the North Star Architecture in accordance with the goals and business cases defined by the team
- Monitor current trends, both internal to RBC and external in the industry, in relation to the deliverables by the team
- Retain and grow existing talent or addition of new talent to the team
What do you need to succeed? Must-Have:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
- Strong Experience in Information Technology Development and Architecture Roles
- Solid experience in designing resilient enterprise applications using On Premises and Cloud computing platforms
- Advanced knowledge of different architecture/design techniques (e.g. Automation, SOA/Microservices, REST/SOAP, Cloud Native applications, Event-Driven Architecture, Data Pipelines), modern and legacy technology platforms
- Professional oral and written communication and strong presentation skills, and ability to communicate and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to Have:
- Experience with large scale transformational initiatives delivering straight-through processing, process digitization or AI-driven solutions
