As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will deploy partners and delegate tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service, prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles and be part of a company that is consistently rated as a great place to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote Starbucks culture, values, and mission through integrity and honesty.
- Maintain composure during high volume or unusual events to ensure smooth store operations and set a positive example.
- Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
- Communicate effectively with the team and store manager to create a welcoming environment.
- Assist in training new partners with positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
- Provide feedback on partner performance to the store manager.
- Recognize and communicate changes in partner morale and performance to foster a positive team environment.
- Provide coaching to partners to ensure operational excellence.
- Deliver legendary customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude and connecting with customers.
- Respond to customer needs and develop positive relationships with the team.
- Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
- Follow Starbucks policies for cash handling, safety, and security.
- Ensure proper cash management practices are followed.
- Coordinate with baristas to deliver excellent customer service.
- Maintain attendance and punctuality.
- Ensure quality beverage, food, and product standards are met.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Recognize and reinforce team accomplishments using organizational tools and collaboration with the store manager.
- Utilize operational tools to achieve excellence during shifts.
Experience and Skills
- Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
- Ability to direct others and learn quickly.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
