Director, Business Analysis and Insights - Customer Understanding
Position Summary
The Director of Business Analysis and Insights will be a key leader in building customer obsession and empathy at Walmart to deliver exceptional value and experiences to our customers every day. The role involves enabling customer-first decision-making, defining target segments, and partnering with teams to develop loyalty strategies that enhance engagement and retention. The Director will bring the voice of the customer into strategic conversations, helping Walmart understand evolving customer needs to continue helping Canadians save money to live better.
What you'll do
- Champion customer obsession: Lead efforts to embed customer-centric thinking across Walmart, illustrating how understanding the customer drives business results through storytelling and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop segmentation strategies: Build and lead foundational segmentation work, leveraging existing data to target key customer groups and align strategies with business objectives.
- Partner on loyalty programs: Collaborate with Digital, Data, and Marketing teams to strategize and optimize Walmart's loyalty initiatives, tracking KPIs and customer lifetime value.
- Provide strategic insights: Act as a partner to Merchandising and Marketing teams, delivering insights that inform decision-making and identifying new research opportunities.
- Lead loyalty and performance initiatives: Identify opportunities to enhance engagement and retention, measuring campaign effectiveness and optimizing accordingly.
- Conduct consumer research: Lead research efforts, selecting appropriate methodologies, and presenting clear, actionable insights.
- Manage team: Coach and develop a high-performing team of customer insights professionals, fostering innovation and professional growth.
- Build regional relationships: Collaborate with insights teams across Walmart regions to share best practices and learnings.
