Job Description
About This Role
We seek a candidate with diverse skills in Microsoft SQL database administration to support operational database activities including administration, performance tuning, high availability, monitoring, and capacity management.
Responsibilities
- Support applications and database infrastructure to meet standards and service levels.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance environment stability.
- Manage support and resolution of application issues: identify, assess, escalate, resolve, document, and communicate.
- Focus on problem-solving, data analysis, and scripting to automate and improve systems.
- Ensure quality service aligned with client requirements.
- Participate in design, review, and integration of application requirements including security and performance.
- Address data and application issues affecting integrity.
- Provide expertise and guidance to other teams.
- Follow change management procedures and participate in disaster recovery planning.
- Work towards environment stability, monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Follow established standards, architecture, and risk guidelines.
- Advise on best practices for SQL queries with business users.
Job Requirements
What can you bring to TD?
- Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
- 7+ years of application support experience.
- Knowledge of Java, API, and Microservices.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and SQL.
- Experience with Azure database design, scripting, Windows Server, and clustering.
- Ability to work independently and lead tasks, coaching others as needed.
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and communication skills.
- Willingness to follow procedures and provide technical guidance.
- Interest in industry trends and continuous learning.
- Effective team collaboration and support skills.
