Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform operational and sanitation duties in our Malting Plant, Grain Handling, and Packaging Facility, including:
- Operating processing facilities with automated controls
- Manual washing and sanitizing
- Loading/unloading grain from railcars (including working at heights)
- Cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, shoveling
- Operating mobile equipment (Zoom-boom, Rail king, Forklift)
- Minor repairs and troubleshooting
- Monitoring product quality
- Order fulfillment and logistics
- Maintaining sanitation standards
- Following all safety regulations
Skills \& Abilities
- Experience in grain handling, food processing, or manufacturing is a plus
- Forklift and inventory management experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly
- Mechanical aptitude and safety training
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude
Education \& Experience
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred
Work Environment
- On-the-job and safety training provided
- Shift work, outdoor and indoor environments with varying conditions
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment required
- Work around automated equipment
Compensation
$30.47/hour, $27.89 during probation
