Job Description
Working on assigned shifts, you will provide proactive and reactive security patrols, respond to incidents, write reports, investigate routine incidents, and respond to emergencies efficiently. Physical fitness is essential, as you will be standing and walking for long periods.
Duties \& Responsibilities
- Providing exceptional service to enhance the customer experience
- Ensuring compliance with property standards, rules, and regulations
- Performing patrols and engaging with visitors and staff
- Maintaining knowledge of property activities and assisting visitors
- Controlling vehicle traffic
- Engaging in physical activity including walking, standing, kneeling, and bending
- Record-keeping and report writing
- Enforcing property rules and standards
- Responding to medical emergencies with first aid, CPR, or AED
- Managing access control and enforcing Trespass to Property Act
- Fire \& Life Safety inspections
- Investigating incidents and drafting reports
- Monitoring CCTV systems
- De-escalating crises and assisting emergency personnel
- Supporting daily operations and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Willingness and ability to patrol extensively on foot and vehicle
- Professional demeanor
- At least 1 year of security experience, physical/mall security preferred
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress
- Clean driver abstract
- High attention to detail and interpersonal skills

Prerequisites at Interview
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Standard First Aid and CPR certification
- Proof of 2 COVID-19 vaccinations
- Proficiency in English
Additional Prerequisites
- Ability to attend pre-deployment training in Toronto
- Certifications in Use of Force and Management of Aggressive Behaviour from ASP provider or enroll in Paladin's program
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
