This full-time, in-office position offers an exciting opportunity to support a growing workforce across multiple HR functions in an operational, hands-on environment. About the RoleReporting directly to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, the Bilingual HR Generalist will provide comprehensive HR support to employees and management teams, acting as a trusted advisor on a range of HR matters.
The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering positive employee relations, supporting recruitment, overseeing HR programs, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies. Key Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day HR support and advice to employees and managers across departments. Manage full-cycle recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
Support employee relations matters including investigations, performance management, and disciplinary actions. Coordinate and administer HR programs such as benefits, health \& safety, and training initiatives. Maintain accurate HRIS records, reports, and personnel files.
Assist the Senior HRBP in implementing HR strategies aligned with business goals. Interpret and apply employment legislation and workplace policies to ensure compliance. Facilitate bilingual communication across HR documents, policies, and employee communications as required.
Participate in joint health \& safety committee activities and workplace safety initiatives. Qualifications:Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, ideally within transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or heavy industry. Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is required.
Strong working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices. Experience supporting a unionized environment is considered an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility.
