About this role The Senior Operations Manager leads daily operations across all Skip Express Lane grocery fulfillment centers, reporting directly to the Head of Skip Express Lane. This role drives operational performance, team leadership, courier and customer experience, and fulfillment excellence. The ideal candidate builds strong teams, solves problems quickly, collaborates across functions, and raises standards to deliver a fast, efficient, customer-first operation.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee national fulfillment center operations for accuracy, efficiency, spoilage control, and customer satisfaction.
- Performance Management: Monitor KPIs and drive improvements to optimize fulfillment center performance.
- Team Development: Lead and coach Central and Regional Operations teams, fostering engagement and accountability.
- Leasing \& Facility Support: Manage landlord relationships, leases, and facility maintenance for operational readiness.
- Courier \& Customer Experience: Optimize order flow to minimize courier wait times and ensure a seamless experience.
- Process Optimization: Standardize procedures and collaborate cross-functionally to improve speed, quality, and efficiency.
- Budget \& Cost Control: Manage labor budgets and operating expenses while maintaining service levels.
What will you bring to the table?
- 5 years of operational leadership experience (fulfillment, logistics, grocery, or retail preferred)
- Experience supporting multi-site operations and landlord/facility relationships
- Strong leadership presence, team development, and communication skills
- Proven ability to drive engagement, accountability, and operational excellence
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- No specific educational requirements - leadership, operational expertise, and results matter most
