Bow Valley College is looking for a connector, a strategist, and a champion of the digital arts to join our growing Digital Entertainment Nexus (DEN) as our next Industry Engagement Lead.
Funded by the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund (OCIF), the DEN is a world-class creative hub featuring a Virtual Production Studio, Motion Capture Lab, Digital Classrooms, and an Esports Arena — all waiting to be discovered, explored, and activated by Calgary’s creative talent and industry innovators. Your mission? Build the relationships and strategies that make this ecosystem thrive.
What You’ll Do
As Industry Engagement Lead, you’ll be at the heart of building Calgary’s creative industries ecosystem. You’ll:
Lead and implement our industry engagement strategy to bring new partners and projects into the DEN.
Act as a key liaison between studios, agencies, production companies, and post-secondary creatives.
Promote DEN’s state-of-the-art infrastructure — from game engines to green screens — and ensure it’s fully used by industry collaborators.
Coordinate events, showcases, and innovation sessions that energize the digital arts community.
Work with teams across the College — Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, Student Services, and more — to create dynamic, cross-functional programs.
Support initiatives focused on youth, underrepresented groups, and lifelong learners in the digital arts.
What You Bring
3–5 years of experience in industry engagement, stakeholder relations, marketing, or event planning.
A diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Passion for emerging tech and the creative economy — especially gaming, film, animation, esports, and XR.
A knack for building lasting partnerships and fostering innovation.
Strong communication skills, social media savvy, and a keen eye for opportunity.
Familiarity with the creative tech landscape and an established industry network is a big plus.
Police Information Check including a vulnerable sector
Ability to travel
Preferred Extras
A Bachelor’s Degree or additional credentials in marketing, event planning, or a creative discipline.
Certification in event or project management.
Experience in facilitation, mediation, or leading collaborative initiatives.

This opening is a project (AUPE) position with an anticipated conclusion in December, 2028.
