We have restaurants, food halls, and catering teams in Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec.Job DescriptionOur Bartenders take pride in their food, wine and spirit knowledge. They build relationships with their guests and are often asked for by name. They display natural showmanship, have great communication skills and an eye for detail. A Bartender receives beverage orders and makes beverages in a timely and efficient manner maintaining all O&B standards. They also communicate beverage descriptions and modifications with team members to ensure guests receive their requested beverage. The Day to Day:Create a positive guest experience through friendly interaction and by following established steps of serviceMaintain efficient bar service thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items to make informed recommendations to guestsPresent beverages neatly and efficiently at the service bar pick-up areaCommunicate beverage descriptions, daily specials, and relevant information to guests and team membersSet up and break down the bar area, including the dishwasher and cappuccino machineStock and maintain all bar products, including mise en place (bar setup and garnishes)Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of beer kegs and liquor suppliesCount and take inventory of all beverages and supplies; assist the manager with inventory and orderingBe attentive to special requests, including guest allergies and dietary restrictionsPerform other duties as assigned or requiredQualificationsSmartServe CertifiedA Degree/ Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent considered an assetAt least 2 years bartending experience in a similar environmentImpeccable wine, beer and cocktail knowledgePassion for food, beverage and providing excellent customer serviceAbility to multi-taskStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to stand for long periods of time and able to lift and move beer kegs, liquor and wine boxesAdditional Information We thank all applicants for their interest in Oliver & Bonacini Hospitality; however, only suitable candidates will be contacted to continue the application process.
