Job Description We’re looking for a skilled Workday Security Analyst to join our team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of configuring, managing, and optimizing Workday security to ensure alignment with internal policies and external compliance requirements. If you have hands-on experience with Workday security and a solid understanding of Core HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking — we’d love to hear from you. What You’ll Do Test changes in Workday non-production environments before rollout Troubleshoot and resolve security issues with HRIS and IT teams Recommend improvements to optimize security and system performance Ensure security supports business workflows without compromising protection Work with HR, Finance, and IT teams to align security needs Apply security best practices across all functional modules Act as the subject matter expert for Workday security Create and maintain user-friendly documentation (e.g., security matrices, guides) Train teams on access management and security best practices Conduct regular audits and access reviews Analyze logs for access issues or unusual activity Assist with compliance reporting and support audit efforts Design and maintain security roles, policies, and permissions Monitor and update security configurations as organizational needs evolve Ensure all configurations meet internal and external compliance standards Requirements: Minimum 3+ years of direct experience managing Workday security Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, HR Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Experience working with HRIS systems, compliance, and data governance Proficiency in business process security, security groups, and domain security policies within Workday Solid understanding of Workday configurations and security best practices Bonus: Familiarity with Workday reporting, integrations, and audit tools Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data privacy and access management Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Analytical thinker and proactive problem-solver Workday Security certification is highly preferred At Extendicare, we believe that working as a team creates an environment that allows us to reach our potential.
