Job Description: Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers’ business needs and, consequently, for understanding customers businesses. As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships so as to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of leading-edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge. Actively contribute to solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects. Shape technical direction and technical strategies within the organization and for external customers. Accountable for consistent and significant chargeability levels (or expense relief for internal project teams) and for assisting in meeting or exceeding revenue and customer satisfaction goals. Contribute to organizations profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities and by providing technical support for deal proposal development. Expert: Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers. Demonstrate strong knowledge in at least three major technology areas. Technical expertise is sought after and provided to several projects/accounts. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of assigned technology and discipline area. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of corporate organization and policies. Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Responsibilities: Apply deep and broad technical background and knowledge of industry trends to operate several critical or high-risk technology areas/customer groups. Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to create superior solutions for the company and for customers. Mentor/consult with team members, other organizations, customers, and vendors on complex issues. Incident Management: Resolve technical and some business incidents independently. Mentor/assist less-experienced team members on complex incidents. Escalation Management: identify, mange, and lead escalations through L4. Work with others to help manage Escalations through L5. Tandem NonStop Security: NonStop Security managing Safeguard, Key management, security policy and reviews on a daily basis. Key injection managing HSM/Crypto security. Building new NonStop environments managing and providing security support. Data Center onsite visits in support of Key Management. Managing and responding to Security audits on the NonStop Mainframe Understanding: z/OS Logical Security Extensive z/OS System Security knowledge (i.e. RACF, Global Security Settings, SSL and Digital Certificate, risk assessment, business continuity/DR, etc.) 3 plus years with hands on zOS Logical Security support (Skill Level 3-4 on a 0-4 scale) (this does NOT include UserID Administration support) Comprehensive knowledge of IBM policies and PCI Compliancy, ISeC, CSD requirements to provide guidance to z/OS System Support teams, Business Controls and the customer In-depth knowledge of various system and sub-system products: used to evaluate and implement Software/Application security (i.e.: z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, MQSeries, Omegamon, JES2, CA7/OPC, CA1/RMM, etc.) z/OS System and Sub-System knowledge (i.e.: JCL, SDSF, JES2/3, FTP,…) – Must be able to create/update/run Jobs in support of security changes and monitoring Broad data analysis and report writing skills – Tools: RACFRW, ETF/A, zSecure, VRA, JCL, SAS, etc. Coding skills: REXX, Clist, CARLa,… MVS system support / programming skills Robust Problem Determination and Problem Resolution skills – understands the steps required to investigate the core issue and determine a secure resolution Experience with managing (open/close) Problem and Change tickets within the variety of IPC tools Oral/Written Communication skills – Is able to consult on and present security concepts to management and clients MS-Word and MS-Excel Provide 24/7 On-Call and after hours support for Sev1/2 problems and upgrades Knowledge and Skills: Typical skills include: (Expert) in one or more technology sub-areas.
