About the Role Joining the Workday Illuminate delivery enablement team as a Software Development Engineer - Developer Advocate, you will play a critical role in driving the adoption of our Generative AI platform. You will embody a dual role: that of a technical evangelist, advocating for Generative AI within Workday, and that of a hands-on implementer, assisting application teams with integration. You will provide guidance, build a platform community, and forge strong relationships to ensure successful implementation. By bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, you will empower application teams to effectively use our GenAI platform independently. Key Responsibilities Platform Adoption: Drive the adoption of the GenAI platform by providing technical expertise and hands-on support to application teams. Technical Evangelism: Serve as a technical evangelist for the GenAI platform, promoting its benefits and capabilities within Workday. Hands-on Support: Provide hands-on assistance to application teams to integrate the GenAI platform into their workflows. Documentation and Sample Code: Update sample code and documentation based on feedback and evolving needs. Community Building: Encourage and foster a vibrant community around the GenAI platform. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with application teams to ensure successful collaboration and adoption. Agile Practices: Set up sprints and agile principles to ensure rapid and efficient progress in platform adoption. About You You are a proactive and collaborative software engineer with a passion for empowering teams and driving technology adoption. You thrive in an agile environment and excel at building relationships. You are skilled at translating technical concepts into practical solutions and enjoy helping others succeed. You may have consulting experiences and are used to moving across multiple projects and helping teams be successful. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of software development experience, with a deep understanding of Workday’s XpressO (XO) program language. 5+ years working knowledge of Workday Software Development technologies 5+ Years experience with enterprise-level architecture and deploying systems. Other Qualifications Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and technologies, particularly in the generative AI space. Experience working within a services or consulting organization, contributing to customer implementation projects and solution delivery Experience with Workday Extend development Experience with cloud technologies in designing scalable systems. Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships and trust across different teams and functions.
