Job DescriptionThe Assistant Restaurant Manager will work closely with the Hotel's Food & Beverage outlets management team during the peak summer season. Responsibilities include:Provide on-the-floor supervision, support, and coaching to employees to maintain service standardsOversee day-to-day operations and anticipate needs for upcoming eventsEnsure compliance with service essentials, steps of service, and brand standardsReview and respond to guest comments in a timely and professional mannerAssist in conducting shift briefings and departmental meetingsMaintain overall cleanliness and safety of the outletsDevelop effective working relationships with all supporting departmentsAdhere to all corporate, hotel, and departmental policies and procedures, including Health & Safety guidelinesPerform other duties as required within the departmentA competitive salary starting at $55,765 is offered for this position.QualificationsYour experience and skills include:Minimum 1-2 years supervisory or management experience in Food & Beverage, preferably in an upscale hotel or restaurantStrong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities with a service-focused personalityValid Serving it Right Certification and FoodSafe Level OneFlexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidaysWine knowledge (WSET Level 2 or above) and Hospitality diploma/degree are assetsAdditional InformationPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Constant standing and walkingOccasional bending and kneelingOccasional carrying and liftingVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
