Worker Type: Employee Job Post End Date: 06/12/2025 About this opportunity: Reporting to the Senior Manager Strategic HR Partnerships, your main responsibility will be to provide strategic HR support to Senior Leaders, Front line leaders and employees who reside in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. This role is based in Calgary Alberta with frequent travel (up to 50%) to Lloydminster. This role works closely with the broader Strategic HR Partner team as well as the HR Centers of Expertise (COE) to deliver programs and services in alignment with the business and people strategy and plans. The ideal candidate will be client-focused with abilities to build important relationships and capable of leading change to support HR goals aligned with the company's strategy and culture. What you’ll do: Serve as a strategic partner to leadership, aligning people strategies with business goals to enhance capacity, capability, experience, and drive high performance Diagnose organization challenges, identify interventions and work with leaders to facilitate improvement and change Implement the Cenovus People Plan/People Principles by leading HR projects and partnering with COEs to ensure alignment on programs that enhance capacity, capability, and employee experience Lead and facilitate integrated talent development, succession planning, and internal mobility to support performance needs, while representing business needs in HR program design/planning and improvement Provide change management support and collaborate with leaders and employees on performance and conduct Support annual HR programs (i.e. leadership and employee development, performance management, mentoring etc) and provide expertise in organization design, workforce planning, team effectiveness, and talent development to drive retention and performance Capture feedback from clients regularly to ensure planning, projects, services, and support that is being provided aligns with business area needs Collaborate with HR Operations to ensure consistent and quality delivery of services to clients Report and address employee concerns in accordance with Company policies Influence and support the development and delivery of fit for purpose governance, programs, processes and services within the COEs and service delivery teams of the HR Department Who you are: Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements: Legally authorized to work in Canada Post-secondary degree in a related field, CHRP designation or equivalent is an asset Minimum 8 years HR experience with experience demonstrating technical and behavioral HR Capabilities below Minimum of 5+ years of Organizational Effectiveness / Team Effectiveness, and demonstrable ability to influence culture and both Senior and Frontline leaders Progression of roles within HR with increased responsibility and scope Strong collaboration and critical thinking skills—able to partner across teams, design solutions, work independently, and use data to inform business decisions.
