Join our team today!Job DescriptionAccountabilities:Retrieve patient records from the electronic health record, microfilm as requested by internal/external customersPrepare charts for scanning, scan documents, perform QA, index documents in accordance with established proceduresAnswer department telephone and respond to faxed requests from internal and external customers, and person to person (walk-ins) requests related to health information management functions, such as chart requestsSort charts following patient dischargeLog and complete medical requests for patient informationResults distributionOther duties as assigned to ensure department workload is coveredQualificationsGraduate of an accredited health information management programMinimum one year experience in a Health Information Management Department within a hospital environmentExcellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skillsAbility to work in a busy environment and accurately perform tasksExperience with Meditech MRI ModuleExperience with on-line scanning applicationsExperience adhering to policies, procedures and quality control in relation to electronic imagingAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionWillingness to learnMust demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationExcellent attendance, punctuality and work recordMay be required to travel between and work at all Osler sitesAdditional InformationCurrently Days/Evenings including weekends (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)Fully Onsite role: Roles involved in direct patient care that are needed onsite for each shiftSalary: May 2024
