Hiring Unit: McGill Bieler School of Environment Course Title and Course Number: ENVR 301 - 01 Environmental Research Design Estimated Number of Positions: 2 Total Hours of Work per Term: 60 Position Summary: Aiding students design research projects utilizing GIS, Statistics or Qualitive Research methods and grading these projects. Holding regular office hours or arranged appointments to meet with students. Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of either GIS, Statistics or Qualitative Research Methods Solid grounding in the different stages of a research project (problem definition, literature review etc.), the outlook and approaches to research in sciences and the humanities, specific research techniques (writing and administering surveys, impact assessment, basic data analysis, etc.), knowledge of statistics, and research ethics Effective communication skills Experience with the use of a virtual learning platforms (myCourses, Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx).
