Hiring Unit: School of Physical and Occupational Therapy Course Title and Course Number: Therapeutic Strategies 1 – OCC1 545 Estimated Number of Positions: 1 Total Hours of Work per Term: 180 hours Dates: August 27-December 31 Job Description: TA will engage in the hand on teaching of occupational therapy students of clinical assessment and treatment skills. TA will be required to respond to student questions, have an advanced understanding of occupational therapy skills, and will be involved in the marking of a case-based assignment. Thus, TA must have advanced clinical practice skills and work experience working with the musculoskeletal population. Salary: $37.34/hour Desired Major(s): Occupational Therapy Desired Degree Level: Must have a Masters or Doctoral degree in occupational therapy that qualifies for licensure to practice in Quebec. Qualifications: Current Masters or Doctoral student at McGill. Graduate teaching experience is preferred and an asset. Must be eligible to work in Canada. Must have a license to practice occupational therapy in Quebec. Must have extensive clinical experience working as an occupational therapist with populations who have sustained traumatic musculoskeletal injuries or disorders. Preferably in both the private and public system treating patients across the life span but must have worked with adults. Must be available on Mondays and Wednesday during the Fall term.
