Position Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the Executive Assistant Event Planner, the Event Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of comprehensive coordination and administrative support duties for selected assemblies and conferences this summer. This position is designed for a post-secondary student returning to school in September 2025.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the preparation for meetings with AMC.
• Coordinate and track registration for assemblies and conferences.
• Assist in preparing and distributing correspondence to all relevant entities/organizations.
• Attend assemblies and conferences to assist with various tasks to ensure event runs smoothly.
• Assist supervisor in tracking and follow up.
• Review and assist with all areas of event planning and ensure that tasks are prioritized and deadlines are met.
• Respond to external and internal inquiries in an expedient, professional, and tactful manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education & Experience
• Must be a post-secondary student returning to school in September 2025.
• Knowledge of First Nation culture, history, and issues.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
• Knowledge of general office practices and office equipment operations.
• Excellent administrative, editing, organizational skills and research abilities.
• Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates empathy.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid Class 5F Driver’s License and reliable vehicle considered an asset.
• Successful candidates will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
