Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Logistics Coordinator is the leader of the Order Fulfillment team. Responsible for capacity and flow in the shipping area. Operations lead for Shiphawk, and responsible for implementation, maintenance, and continued improvement of this software add-on. This role is also Blackline’s Dangerous Goods Expert.
Responsibilities:
Estimate the amount of time needed to complete a job
Manage the schedule efficiently to maximize workflow
Estimate the quantity of materials needed to complete the job
Keep track of incoming and outgoing products, equipment, or materials
Keep detailed spreadsheets of the workflow (past, current, and future)
Consult regularly with suppliers, and Managers
Print daily sales receipts and cross-check to ensure accuracy
Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs
Track inventory and report any shortages to sales team so we can update the website
Process orders based on the buyer’s preferred shipping system (e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.)
Contact carrier and schedule shipping for each package
Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed
Data Skills/Qualifications/Education:
2 – 4 years’ experience shipping, or material handling
Demonstrate strong organizational and time management abilities to efficiently coordinate logistics operations, track shipments, and manage schedules.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistical setting with frequently changing dynamics, adapting to evolving conditions and priorities.
Proficiency in using heavy equipment as trained and/or required, ensuring safe and efficient handling of goods and materials.
Repetitive lifting and carrying of up to 30lbs.
Manual handling of incoming and outgoing product
Standing for extended periods
Operating hand tools, dollies, and lift tables
Wearing PPE as required
