The right candidate brings all of the above and has proven experience managing projects and people, with the following skills and experience:
Excellent leadership and communication
Bachelor degree or diploma in construction / Project Management or equivalent experience.
Min. 5 years experience working in landscape construction
Min. 2 years experience working as a PM in a construction related field
Can read and interpret Landscape, Architectural, and Civil drawings, specifications, and details
A thorough understanding of industry materials and products, installation methods, and industry best practices
Highly proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
Ability to estimate time and material for projections and for change orders.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with clients, suppliers, management and staff at all levels of the business
Ability to prioritize competing demands and meet the needs of several projects/teams
Proven sense of urgency and ability to work effectively to deadlines
Experience managing, training and supervising staff, and building a cohesive and high performing team
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to respond to escalated inquiries, complaints and feedback from customers, vendors or employees.
Must have valid Class 5 drivers license
Lower Mainland Project Managers will manage sites located on the North Shore from Deep Cove to Horseshoe Bay, All over Vancouver, and in Burnaby – we occasionally will work in Coquitlam or Richmond but that’s not too common.
