Position Overview
Houston Landscapes Ltd. is seeking motivated individuals to join our Landscapes Construction team. This role offers hands-on experience in hardscape installation, equipment operation, and site operation.
While our primary season runs from March through November, we aim to provide year-round opportunities for our team. If you're looking for a dynamic work environment with room for growth, apply today!
Key Responsibilities
- Hardscape & Landscape Installation
Assist in installing paver patios, retaining walls, natural stone elements, and concrete features.
Support with grading, drainage, and soil preparation to ensure project stability.
Help in carpentry-related tasks, such as building decks, fences, and pergolas.
Participate in masonry work (experience with Romex or permeable hardscape products is an asset).
- Equipment & Tool Operation
Operate and maintain mini excavators, skid steers, forklifts, and aerial platforms (training provided).
Assist in loading and unloading materials, ensuring safe handling.
Follow site safety protocols and proper tool usage guidelines.
- General Site Work
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project details under supervision.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow WorkSafeBC safety standards, including proper lifting techniques and use of PPE.
Support senior team members and learn on the job.
Requirements
A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Basic understanding of construction tools and techniques.
Capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting, digging, and carrying materials.
Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel between job sites.
Experience driving a 3 ton tipper truck is an asset but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly rate: $29–$45 per hour (based on experience).
Expense reimbursement for work-related costs.

Vacation: 2 weeks (4% of salary).
